Boaters please Note: If you arrive at our dock on off hours and the center is closed:
Please call 911 and tell them it is a non-emergency – and ask them to send a Newark Police Officer to 199 Van Buren Street with a key to the facilities.

During your stay, you are our guest. There’s no docking fee or any charge for using our clean comfort facilities, washer/dryer, or  pump-out. All we ask is that you support our local merchants.

We now have a portable bicycle tire pump.  It is located in the Welcome Center.

Canal Locks Information:

The 2024 Canal Season officially begins  May 17, marking the unofficial start of summer across Upstate NY. The NYS Canal System standard hours of operation will be 7:00am – 5:00pm, daily through October 16, 2024. Some locks will have extended hours during peak season (May 17 – Sept 14), and mariners should allow for extra time at locks C-1 and C-2 on the Champlain Canal.

Wine and Arts

Annual Wine, Craft Beverage & Artisans Festival: June 27, 2025
4:30-8:30 p.m.

Come experience the bounty of our area and music by the band, Swagger! The event is free admission, plus you can buy a ticket for beverage tastings from local wine, spirits, beer and hard cider makers. Outside of the paid tasting tent, local makers will be on hand with arts, crafts, artisan foods and more!
